Each 8th Grade student must complete 15 hours of community service as a part of their graduation requirement. Fifteen hours is the minimum requirement by June 2, 2017. A special service award will be presented to the 8th grade student who performs the most community service hours by June 2, 2017. Eighth grade students are responsible for maintaining their own record of community service.

The 8th Grade Class is sponsoring a Krolick's Fish Fry on April 7, 2017 4:30 - 7:00 pm. All proceeds will benefit their trip to Boston. Tickets are $11.50 presale and $12.00 at the door. Please review the flyer for more information.

Christmas Plant Sale
St. John’s 8th grade class is selling beautiful poinsettia plants in different colors and varieties, as well as Christmas Cactus and Cyclamen for this year’s Christmas season. These high-quality plants are grown locally at Mitchell Farms in Alden.
By ordering your holiday plants with us, you will be helping our 8th grade offset the cost of their class trip in May.
Please be sure to include your name and phone number on the order form. Orders with payment may be turned in to the school office or dropped in the collection basket at any mass. (marked “Attn: poinsettia sale”).
ORDERS ARE DUE WITH PAYMENT NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 22ND.

The plants will be ready for pick up in the school faculty room (near the kitchen downstairs) on Friday, December 2nd at St. Nick’s Night, and after all Masses on Saturday and Sunday, December 3rd and 4th.
