8th Grade Trip to Boston

On Thursday, May 11th the 8th grade class along with Ms. Marilynn Camp, Principal and Mrs. Auguste Pautler, 8th Grade teacher, and 8th grade parents of St. John the Baptist School, Alden NY enjoyed their end of the year class trip to Boston, MA. The trip consisted of sightseeing at the New England Aquarium, Plimoth Plantation, Lobster Cruise, Museum of Science,  a ghost tour and dinner at Cheers. The three days were full of adventure and fun by all and all of the memories are those that will be kept for a lifetime.

On Wednesday, May 3rd the students at St. John the Baptist School in Alden, NY enjoyed an interactive story time assembly with Mr. Thomas Burger. It was a nice break after a morning of testing.

Catholic School Week At St. John's

Catholic School Week At St. John's

Catholic Schools Week at St. John the Baptist School was a great success. On Sunday, January 29th we hosted our Open House after our School Mass and the Home School Association baked treats for our visitors. On Monday January 30th the students wore Mix-Match/Neon clothing and read books and played games with their classroom buddies. Tuesday, January 31st Mrs. Rusin, gym teacher directed students to demonstrate PE activities in their gymnasium. Wednesday, February 1st students dressed as their favorite book character, historical figure or hero, they also joined with their classroom buddy to create a ice cream sundae courtesy of the Home School Association. Thursday, February 2nd the students wore their pj's and worked with their classroom buddies on making Valentine cards for the Veterans. Friday, February 3rd was our traditional Grandparents Lunch the students enjoy this day as they get to spend some one on one quality time with their grandparents, their was also entertainment by Paul Antonio Magic as well as our school band performed.
