Bread Mass

Bread Mass

The faculty, staff and students at St. John the Baptist School celebrated their traditional Bread Mass on Wednesday, November 25th, at our 8:30 a.m. mass. Each individual attending the Mass received blessed bread to share with their family on Thanksgiving. The second grade class dressed up as pilgrims and our eighth graders participated as lectors and gift bearers.

Great Kids Go Above and Beyond!!!!

Two students from St. John the Baptist School went above and beyond this year to raise money at the Farmers Market to help support the Sports Fund here at St. John the Baptist School. Brandon Beal and Cody Captain helped to raise $478.00 total.

The 8th Grade class had their last retreat at St. John the Baptist School in Alden on Friday, May 8, 2015. Father Joseph Wolf facilitated the retreat. The theme was, continuing to live your faith in high school.

Hope Ribbon Ceremony

Hope Ribbon Ceremony

On Thursday, May 7th the 8th grade students at St. John the Baptist School, Alden NY received their Class Ribbons in our traditional Hope Ribbon Ceremony. In receiving their class ribbon, each student acknowledged their role in the school, parish, and community and asked God to help them assume this responsibility. After the Hope Ribbon Mass and School May Crowning the students and their families came back to the school for a breakfast reception followed by Father Jim Ciupek who blessed them before leaving with Mrs. Murty, 8th Grade Teacher and Ms. Camp, Principal and their parents for an afternoon of fun at Niagara Falls.
