A Small Catholic School for Students in Pre-K 3 through 8th Grade
Now more than ever, our world needs good people. In these ever-changing times, we believe there is a constant which drives us at St. John’s School – our love for humanity. That love is at the heart of our Catholic faith, and here, it’s at the very center of how we work together with our families, parish, and community in the goal of educating our children and helping them – not just to become good people – but to help them understand why it is so important to the world that they are.
As parents and educators, we are tasked in guiding and preparing our children to be the adults of tomorrow. Our ultimate goal in the individual education of each Student is to help them graduate 8th Grade as well-rounded young adults – Academically, Socially, Emotionally, Physically, and Spiritually; we call them our 5 Pillars of Balanced Learning.
Here at SJS, our students are challenged intellectually – we expect our students to work to their personal best and strive for excellence in all they do! We also encourage them to become aware of their responsibility as citizens in our community, protectors of our environment, and brave leaders who stand up for what is right – and seek out ways to put these ideals into practice daily.
You have always been the primary educator in your child’s life. You set a wonderful example for them every day!
All of us in the St. John’s Family are here to assist you in that role. Our children are a part of this community and grow within it. Together we share the responsibility of passing on the rich heritage of our Catholic faith within a balanced curriculum. We believe our small class sizes, attentive and innovative teachers, and “home-like”, modern classrooms provide the best educational environment each individual child can flourish in.
We are proud to be a piece of what makes Alden, NY a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
